EDUCATION

Olamide Florence has a degree in International Politics & Policy and History (with double honours) from the University of Liverpool, UK. It was here that she first developed her skills in thematic thinking and took a multifaceted or ‘hodge-podge’ approach to her degree. Her ability to quickly digest and present complex information led her to be selected by Professor Deana Heath as one of 4 special event interlocutors at the Liverpool World Museum in 2018.

Favourite studies during her degree included:

  • Tracing colonialism in southern African countries through the landscape’s changing botany and dendrology
  • Tracing post-colonial relationships between Britain and Africa through music
  • Final Project: Exploration into how masculinity and femininity are used in the depictions of heroes and villains in She-Ra: Princess of Power (1985) and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)

Feel free to drop her a line at florenceoade@gmail.com – she loves a good yap.
